I found the most perfect park location for sunset photos the other day. I kept driving by it, craning my neck around, and finally strapped on my running shoes and went to check it out once more in person. There’s a gorgeous field of wildflowers, grassy areas, and just enough mowed out there that it’s not difficult to access. The treeline lines up with the setting sun, so I took my girls out there for their very own summer shoot.
I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I rarely get to shoot at sunset. (However, some recent ones are here and here!) It’s far and away the best time of day for a session. (Well, I guess there’s always sunrise, too….) For those families without the tiny babies that HAVE to be in bed early, it’s the perfect time for a photo session. I focused on just the kids here, but it’d be perfect for a family shoot too.
So, to encourage all you with children who are willing to stay up a little past their bedtime, I’m going to be running a summer sunset special for July and August. I’ll meet you in my “perfect park location” an hour before sunset. We’ll shoot until the kids get tired. I promise 15 images but I’ll give you more if we get them. And if you like and share my ad on Facebook, Instagram, or your blog, you get a bonus mounted metal print, which should look amazing with vibrant sunset colors. Contact me if you might be interested!
Now, my girls weren’t up for much cooperation here, and at no point in time would they get within 15 feet of each other, but I think we still did alright. 😉 Here are my favorites:
